Scholland  Equestrian has been a pony club centre since 2000 we have over 30 active members and another 20 .We run reguler sessions on a saterday afternoon 1.30pm untill 4pm. other events include:

1.Anual show (4th saterday in july)

2.Summer pony camp (monday to friday 10am untill 4 pm daily) Up to 5 weeks

3.Dressarge series show

4. Jumping series show.

5. Badge and test days throughout year.

6. Shows off site throughout the year.

 

  A barrow load of trouble!PONY CLUB TESTS AND BADGES

This test is an entirely voluntary option which Members can choose to take before attempting the ‘D’ Test.

Objectives To have a basic understanding of ponies To achieve confidence in handling and riding a pony To improve and enjoy learning about ponies Recommended Minimum age 8 or 9 years

We have an avrage of 20 members passing this test each year

The D +

Objectives To be working towards developing a balanced seat independent of the reins To understand elementary aids and be able to apply them Recommended age 10

We have on arvage of 15 member acheving this leval each year

The C

Objectives To understand the importance of, and to be working towards a secure seat independent of the reins To apply simple aids correctly To have a knowledge of the care and working of a pony off grass To be in control of the Georgie & Edpony on the roads and in the countryside. To have a proper regard for country law. Recommended minimum age 11 or 12

We have had 3 members pass c test

The C +  test

The aim is to become an educated and practical horseman To ride over fences at all paces To gain practical experience and knowledge of the care of a stabled pony and of a pony at grass To be capable of riding a well-mannered pony out hunting and in all Pony Club activities To ride intelligently and with due regard for others on the roads and in the country, and with a knowledge of pace, distance and discipline when riding alone and in groups Recommended minimum age 14 years.

In 2007 we had all our members take and pass the riding and road safty with juniors doing a seperet test. We will be aranging another 2 day course and 1 day test in the summer of 2008.

Members then go onto the next leval and this can be done on site with viserting eamners or we have had members go onto there BHS exams and one going onto her SVQ/NVQ 

We Are a very active center with meny members cometing in all arias and pony club aria events such as the Margeret Wiper Quize, grass routs ,hunter triels and Dressage.

 

Progressive Tests

The Progressive Tests are available to Members in Horsemanship and Riding
and Road Sense. These allow Members to take Tests in modules throughout the different levels.

Members whose interests lie in Stable Management may take the Horsemanship Awards on their own.

The Bronze Awards may be taken at three levels, culminating in
Bronze Award 1.

The Silver Awards may be taken at three levels, culminating in
Silver Award 1.

The Gold Awards may be taken at three levels, culminating in
Gold Award 1.

The Platinum Awards may be taken at three levels, culminating in
Platinum Award 1.
